The College of Ag Sciences will be migrating mail and calendaring service to the Office 365 service hosted by the University in October!

College Email Migration Announcement

WHEN: Beginning week of October 1, 2018
TO: College of Ag Sciences
FROM: Ed Zuech, Director
SUBJECT: Migration to Office 365 email/calendaring

Good afternoon,

I am pleased to announce our College will be migrating to the Office 365 email and calendaring service in a few short weeks. This is a University-wide project designed to increase collaboration, productivity and security and the migration is required for anyone that has a Penn State or College of Ag email account. AG IT continues to encourage everyone to upgrade to the latest Office 365 applications prior to 15 September. Having the Office 365 applications installed on your Penn State computers is a prerequisite for the migration to Office 365 email and calendaring.

The Agricultural and Biological Engineering (ABE) Department will be the first unit to migrate on September 20th. Extension, to include all county offices and Extension Administration, will migrate the week of October 1.. Other AG Exchange email users will migrate the week of October 8, while users who have UCS or Non-Exchange email accounts will migrate the week of October 15.

Specific migration details by departments/use cases.

NOTE: Those forwarding email to an outside email system will continue to have email forwarded.

More information will be shared as we approach the migration timelines. However, if you have questions or would like support to upgrade to the required Office 365 applications, please reach out to your IT Consultant or contact the Ag IT Helpdesk.
