INTAD Student Spotlight: Christian Man

Posted: December 5, 2016

INTAD student Christian Man part of Catholic Relief Services research team in Ethiopia.

Christian Man, Ph.D. student in Rural Sociology and International Agriculture and Development, was part of a Catholic Relief Services team that conducted research in Ethiopia earlier this year.

The drought in Ethiopia last year was the worst in 25 years, prompting USAID to provide significant funding for seed aid distribution to a consortium of implementing agencies, including Catholic Relief Services.  Christian Man participated in a team effort to assess the effectiveness of the aid.  The evaluation project took four weeks an included surveys and interview throughout the country in four different regions.  The team interviewed a total of 800 households.
