Graduate Student Recognized for Critical Language Experience

Leslie Pillen will be recognized for her experience in the Critical Language Scholarship Program last summer.

Leslie Pillen, a master's degree candidate in Rural Sociology will be recogonized by the college later this spring for her participation in the Critical Language Scholarship program.

The program sponsored by the US State Department provided funding for her to study Hindi in India last summer. A CAS undergraduate, Abraham DeHart, also participated, learning Urdu.

The program provides funding for students to participate in "group-based language instruction and structured cultural enrichment experiences."
