You Can Make a Difference ... For Our Programs

Program support helps the college:

  • maintain excellence
  • create a flexible approach to agricultural sciences education and research
  • develop new programs to meet emerging needs
  • provide a well-rounded education for our students.

Program endowments can be created to support lecture series, update laboratory equipment, bring outstanding agricultural sciences professionals into classrooms, provide seed money to faculty for curriculum innovations or new research ideas, and create opportunities for students to develop relationships with important leaders and professionals from business, industry, and government.

Program endowments also support the college's cooperative extension program, which delivers the outreach component of the University's land-grant mission to families, farms, businesses and communities in all sixty-seven counties of the Commonwealth. Cooperative extension provides research-based, non-formal public educational opportunities aimed at helping Pennsylvanians to maintain a competitive and environmentally sound food and fiber system, while helping youth and adults improve the quality of their lives.
