Students Walking in Commencement

Posted: March 5, 2014

Students are expected to attend the commencement ceremony at the end of the semester in which they will be certified for graduation.

With the permission of the CAS Associate Dean, students can be permitted to walk in a different commencement ceremony. As per ACUE policy O-6, students who are permitted to walk are usually within no more than 2 courses or 8 credits from meeting all graduation requirements and are registered to complete these the following semester. Students must submit their requests to “walk” to the Program Coordinator of their major.  The PC will verify that the student falls within the ACUE policy course or credit limits and then will submit the request to the Associate Dean’s office for the student to walk.
