Gagnon Makes a Pitch for Ag 300

Posted: October 9, 2014

Entrepreneurship and Innovation Coordinator Mark Gagnon pitches the Ag 300 Pitch Challenge.

In his own video pitch, Mark Gagnon, Harbaugh Entrepreneurship Scholar & Entrepreneurship Coordinator, shows how easy it is to make a video pitch of your idea for Ag 300.

The Ag 300 Pitch Challenge highlights innovation by urging students to pitch their ideas for solutions on campus, in their communities — or the world.

Present your idea in a 30- to 60-second video, submit it to and your pitch will count toward the College of Ag Sciences' goal of 300 pitches by the contest deadline, Nov. 9.

"I know Ag students can crush this challenge," says Gagnon.

Penn State competes with nine other universities in 1000 Pitches, the largest student pitch competition in the world.

Students can win a $1,000 prize in each of nine categories.

The competition wraps during Global Entrepreneurship Week, Nov. 16 to 21.

The Entrepreneurship & Innovation Program is a sponsor of the 1000 Pitches competition and Global Entrepreneurship Week.
