Mindy Krause is a Marketing Strategy Specialist at Penn State Extension where she utilizes over twelve years’ experience in creative marketing, brand management, and communications strategy to help clients develop innovative outreach campaigns that support food, health, and agricultural initiatives across Pennsylvania.

Mindy works directly with clients to identify preeminent topics in the industry and to determine which audiences are most impacted by them. Mindy guides clients through the completion of the product development process and provides marketing support with a focus on implementing data-driven strategies that promote extension program growth.

Prior to Penn State Extension, Mindy worked as the Assistant Director of Communications and Marketing for Penn State Student Affairs, where she developed, planned, and implemented various strategic communications initiatives to raise awareness of student life enterprises at the University and across the Commonwealth. Mindy’s past work has focused on topics such as alcohol harm reduction; mental health awareness; diversity, equity, and inclusion; civic engagement; and related issues that support holistic human development, health, and an appreciation of life-long learning.

Originally from Clearfield County, Mindy received a B.A. in Communications and B.F.A. in Graphic Design from Edinboro University of Pennsylvania. When Mindy is not working, she enjoys spending time with family, being outdoors, flexing her creative muscles with an interior design project, and exploring local craft breweries.
