Mindy Krause is a Marketing Strategy Specialist at Penn State Extension where she utilizes over twelve years’ experience in multi-channel marketing, brand management, and communications strategy to help clients develop innovative outreach campaigns that support food, health, safety, and wellbeing across Pennsylvania.

Mindy works directly with clients to identify preeminent topics in the industry and to determine which audiences are most impacted by them. Mindy guides clients through the completion of the product development process and provides marketing support with a focus on data-driven strategies aimed to promote extension program growth. 

Prior to Penn State Extension, Mindy worked as the Assistant Director of Communications and Marketing for Penn State Student Affairs, where she developed, planned, and implemented various strategic communications initiatives to raise awareness of student life enterprises at the University and across the Commonwealth. Mindy’s past work has focused on topics such as alcohol harm reduction; mental health awareness; diversity, equity, and inclusion; civic engagement; and related issues that support holistic human development, health, and an appreciation for life-long learning. 

Originally from Clearfield County, Mindy received a Bachelor of Arts in Communications and a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Graphic Design from Edinboro University of Pennsylvania and a Master of Professional Studies in Strategic Communications from Penn State. When Mindy is not working, she enjoys spending time with her family, including her two young sons; being outdoors; flexing her creative muscles with an interior design project; or exploring local craft breweries.
