Lana Adams has roots deep in Pennsylvania and agriculture. She grew up a 4-H member in Susquehanna county, earned a bachelor’s degree in Biology from Lycoming College and a master’s degree in Entomology from Penn State. She started her professional career with Penn State Extension in Franklin County as a program assistant for Integrated Pest Management. Lana enjoyed more than 14 years of public sector work with the Pennsylvania Departments of Agriculture and Health, where she provided leadership in human resources, equal employment opportunity, budget and finance, and organization transformation. In 2017, she rejoined Penn State Extension as a Business Operations Manager, serving six counties in northeast and northcentral Pennsylvania.  She began serving as the Assistant Director for County Operations in 2021.  

Lana is raising daughters Lillia and Lorena, cows, pigs, ducks, chickens, and a sizeable garden at Flourish Farm on the historical lands of the Haudenosaunee people. She finds joy in the labor of growing, preserving, and preparing nourishing food.
