I chose Penn State and the College of Ag Sciences because I knew that Penn State had a reputation for excellence, and I knew that being a part of the College of Ag Sciences would give me the experiences that I would need to be successful in my major and in my career following college. I also love that there is a level of pride that comes with being a Penn State student and becoming a graduate of Penn State.

Favorite Penn State Activity:
This past March, I was able to travel to Texas with the Dairy Science Club. I was able to learn more about the dairy industry in the Southwestern United States as well as spend time getting to know other members of the club! We were able to tour different dairies in the state that highlighted different aspects of the industry. It was a great learning experience and something that I will take with me beyond graduation.

What do you want to be when you grow up?
When I grow up, I want to be a professor of Reproductive Biology in an animal science department.

Proudest Achievement in life so far:
My proudest achievement in life so far is being offered a position at Miner Institute in Chazy, New York as a summer intern in their Agricultural Research program. Although I was unable to complete the internship due to travel restrictions put in place due to COVID-19, being offered the position and having my hard work recognized was an accomplishment in and of itself.

Hobbies:
I love to spend time outside. I have been hiking a lot more often this semester and have been trying to find new places to go in and around State College. I have also been taking a fly-fishing class this semester and I am hoping to take it up as a hobby even after the class is over!

If you could be an animal, what would you be and why?
If I could be any animal, I would be a dog. They always seem to find joy in the little things, and they bring so much positivity into the lives of the people they interact with.

Dream Vacation: The Azores. I traveled here as part of embedded course in the Animal Science department and I would love to go back someday.
