“My favorite part of the job is interacting with the members of our college ‘family’ — the wonderful alumni, friends, and volunteers who support the agricultural sciences.”

Lisa Spicer earned a bachelor’s degree in finance from Penn State and worked in the University’s Corporate and Foundation Relations Office while an undergraduate. Upon graduation, she worked for the Division of Development and Alumni Relations for two years before earning an MBA in international business studies from the University of South Carolina. She studied abroad in Japan during her master’s program and ultimately moved to Japan, where she lived for 10 years, working as a video game and software analyst for several international brokerage firms. Lisa returned to the U.S. in 2004 and joined Oppenheimer Funds Asset Management for six years. She returned to her alma mater in 2012, joining the development team in the College of Agricultural Sciences. She is responsible for prospect management as well as event planning and management. She works closely with and serves as the liaison to the college’s Volunteer Development Council.
