Extension Educator and co-leader of the statewide Family Well-Being team

Jacqueline Amor-Zitzelberger is a committed educator with a wealth of experience in community development and mental health support. With over 20 years of expertise, Jacqueline plays a vital role in the Food, Families, and Communities unit, providing essential guidance to various sub-teams within the statewide Family Well-Being team. Additionally, she serves as an educator at Penn State Extension Clearfield County, where her contributions have significantly improved the well-being of families and communities for more than two decades.

Jacqueline holds a master's degree in adult and community education, enabling her to design and deliver diverse educational programs. These programs encompass mental health and wellness initiatives, parenting workshops, support for kinship caregivers, farm stress management, health insurance literacy, as well as workshops and webinars focusing on early care and education.

Driven by a strong dedication to mental health advocacy, Jacqueline holds certifications in Mental Health First Aid by the National Council on Mental Well-being and Question, Persuade, and Refer (QPR) Institute gatekeeper training. Furthermore, she actively contributes to the field as a co-author of the Caring for Our Kin curriculum utilized in kinship caregiver support groups, forming an integral part of a multi-state initiative.

Before joining Penn State Extension, Jacqueline served as a mental health therapist and supervisor at a community adult Partial Hospitalization program for more than two decades. In this role, she provided educational programming and therapeutic support group services to individuals facing severe and chronic mental health challenges, showcasing her dedication to improving the lives of others.
