Emily is an extension youth development educator based in Juniata county. She holds a bachelor’s and master’s degree in Poultry Science from the University of Arkansas. Prior to joining the Penn State family, Emily worked in the poultry industry in Springdale, Arkansas in hatcheries and broiler breeder operations.

Emily has been involved in exhibition poultry with her father since the age of three. She has competed in and judged shows from Massachusetts to California. She is a licensed American Bantam Association Judge as well as holding a life membership from the American Bantam and American Poultry Associations. Emily her husband, Derek, and daughter, Mollie, own and operate a cow-calf beef farm in Juniata County.
