You can include ("embed") a YouTube or Kaltura video as part of your content.

In YouTube

If the video lives in YouTube, take the following steps:

  • Go to the YouTube video page
  • Click the "Share" link below the video. This will expand to show additional options.
  • Click the "Embed" link in this new set of buttons.
  • Uncheck the "Show suggested videos when the video finishes" checkbox
  • Copy the HTML code in the text area (<iframe ...)

In Kaltura

If the video lives in Kaltura, take the following steps:

  • Go to your video in Kaltura
  • Click the "Share" tab below the video
  • Then click the "Embed" tab
  • If your video has a transcript (closed captioning), select the option to "Embed with transcript"
  • Copy the HTML code in the text area (<iframe ...)

In Plone

Once you've copied the HTML code (<iframe...), follow these steps in Plone:

  • Edit (or create) the Page/News Item/etc. that will contain the video
  • Click the "HTML" button in the toolbar (Plone 4

  • OR, Click "Tools > Source code" in the toolbar (Plone 5

  • In the popup, find the spot in the HTML code where the video should be embedded
  • Paste the YouTube embed code
  • Click the "Update" button to save and close the popup and update the rich text editor.
  • Save the page
