Workshops and conferences include face-to-face meetings or field-based experiences with instruction and hands-on activities.

Extension delivers in-person workshops and conferences to support education on a variety of subjects. It also delivers courses for customers requiring continuing-education or professional-certification credits. From helping dairy producers improve profitability, to providing update credits to licensed pesticide applicators, to teaching food-safety concepts to consumers and food-service workers, extension courses, and workshops connect customers with Penn State expertise.

Workshops and conferences are designed and developed by extension educators, faculty specialists, and program teams. The Communications and Marketing team will provide support for marketing and promotion, such as event invitations, registration reminders, calendar listings, and post-event follow-ups.
