"I've always been especially interested in science.  I was impressed by the faculty and facilities in the Food Science department.  The college provides a community within the larger university."

Raj is especially interested in food production and preservation.  He feels much work is needed to help strengthen the food supply in developing countries.  He is impressed with the research that is being done in the Food Science department.  He hopes that one day he may be able to contribute to finding solutions to the ongoing challenge of feeding the world.

Raj is active in the Food Science club and frequently travels to visit friends and family between semesters.  He is planning on attending graduate school upon graduation to further his studies in food microbiology.  He is looking for opportunities to be involved in a research project that will prepare him for graduate school.

When not studying, Raj is usually hanging out with his friends playing soccer or listening to music in his apartment he shares with three roommates.
