The Penn State AgriMarketing Team (NAMA) is an activity that lasts most of the full academic year and builds skills in product marketing, business management, product development, finance, and public relations. The team develops a product that would add value to the agricultural products, then develops a business plan and "pitch" presentation. This pitch is delivered at a national competition sponsored by the professional National AgriMarketing Association. Some 30 undergraduate teams from across the country compete. The competition is held during NAMA's annual meeting giving students a chance to participate in industry training seminars and network with professionals from companies they may work for in the future.
