Requesting Funds for Student Activities

Funding is available to help cover travel, lodging, registration, and hosting costs associated with student activities.

Dates for 2018-2019 Academic Year Timeline for Submitting Proposals

  • For events that occur between September 1 - December 31, 2018, proposals are due on or before September 21, 2018.
  • For events that occur between January 1 - June 30, 2019, proposals are due on or before January 25, 2019.
  • For events that occur between July 1 - August 31, 2019, proposals are due on or before April 19, 2019.

Eligibility and Criteria

  • All participating students must be in good academic standing with a cumulative GPA of at least 2.0, and enrolled in the College of Agricultural Sciences.
  • Funding available is limited to undergraduate students.
  • Requests for faculty/adviser travel will be denied.
  • Committee policy update as of 02/05/2019: Each club/organization may submit two funding requests (Competitive and/or Non-Competitive) per academic year.

*It is recommended that the club adviser accompany the group when they participate in competitive and/or non-competitive activities.

Competitive funding is reserved to support judging teams and other competitive intercollegiate teams based in the College of Agricultural Sciences.

Non-competitive funding supports activities that foster the professional and educational development of undergraduate students involved in clubs and organizations in the College of Agricultural Sciences.
