Research tour will highlight three new resource centers

The Penn State College of Agricultural Sciences and the Pennsylvania Department of Agriculture (PDA) are partnering to develop three Agricultural Resource Centers in Pennsylvania to focus on high-priority issues for Pennsylvania agriculture, enhance and sustain the economic growth of these industries, and meet consumer expectations.

These centers - focused on Food Safety, Animal Care, and Plant Health - will provide a focus for research and programs in each of the topical areas as well as an umbrella to address a broad spectrum of issues and establish connections among the leadership and staff of each organization.

This year's College of Ag Sciences Research Tour, hosted by the Penn State Ag Council, will focus on the new resource centers and will feature research being done in each of the three areas.
