The Creamery is a beloved icon of Penn State, right up there with the lion shrine, Old Main, and Beaver stadium. It's Penn State welcome—and, for anyone returning, it's a warm welcome home. The Creamery is what Penn State tradition tastes like.
The College of Agricultural Sciences alone cannot claim the Creamery. Neither can the University. It belongs to the generations of Penn Staters, past, present, and future, for whom the Creamery embodies the wholesome joy of the Penn State experience.
Who We Are
We are an industry leader, an ambassador of the Pennsylvania dairy sector, a key supporter of the College of Ag education mission, and a pioneer and custodian of the world's greatest ice cream.
The Creamery is a hub of joyful activity. We are staffed by whistle-while-you-work students who serve everything with a Penn State smile. Through our affiliated Ice Cream Short Course, we share Penn State's ice cream-making expertise and play a leadership role in the world of food science. While the Creamery is rich in history and nostalgia, it remains a place of constant innovation.
