Penn State Ag Alumni Society News

The Ag Alumni Society's mission is to connect, serve, and recognize alumni, students, and faculty by fostering relationships, commitment, and pride that characterizes our College. The society plays a vital role in supporting the college, students, and alumni programming. Alumni who graduated from the College of Agricultural Sciences become members of the Ag Alumni Society automatically by joining the Penn State Alumni Association.

Nittany Lion Club Golf Tournament
September 23, 2011
Three College of Agricultural Sciences alumni participated with dozens of alumni, Penn State coaches, and student-athletes at the Nittany Lion Golf Tournament held at University Park on July 15. Steve Main '92 Poultry Technology and Management, Brian Kreider '97 Dairy and Animal Science, and Matt Molnar '04 Animal Sciences joined Drew Astornino, Derek Day, Michael Mauti, Joe Suhey, Russ Rose, Ron Vanderlinden, and Tim Curley at the inaugural Nittany Lion Club Golf Tournament and BBQ.

Update on the AG Futures Process

The AG Futures Process is designed to develop and implement a new business model for the college and address budget strategies in order to emerge as a stronger, more agile college well positioned to address the future. This process builds on the college strategic plan, which informs decision making and resource allocation.
Dean McPheron Visits Wilkes-Barre

Penn State Creamery Milk Bottle Collection

Located in the lobby of the Food Science Building, this is the most complete set of Penn State Creamery milk bottles. The collection dates back to 1904 and was donated by Darwin Braund '56 Dairy Science.

The College of Agricultural Sciences Development Office sadly announces the passing of Penn State Alumnus, Philanthropist, and friend, Joseph E. Ibberson. His love for the College of Agricultural Sciences began at the Mount Alto campus and spanned his 94 years of life.
Calkins Creamery providing much-needed support to Ag Live

Leslie N. Firth Named 2010 Outstanding Alumni Council Member

Leslie N. Firth, former senior extension agent and director of cooperative extension in Mercer County, is the recipient of the 2010 Penn State Alumni Association Outstanding Alumni Council Member Award. Firth received a bachelor's degree in animal husbandry in 1958, a bachelor's and a master's degree in agricultural economics, all from Penn State.

City Lights "The Naked Truth: Why Humans Have No Fur"
