The Ag Alumni Society's mission is to connect, serve, and recognize alumni, students, and faculty by fostering relationships, commitment, and pride that characterizes our College. The society plays a vital role in supporting the college, students, and alumni programming. Alumni who graduated from the College of Agricultural Sciences become members of the Ag Alumni Society automatically by joining the Penn State Alumni Association.

Penn State College of Agricultural Sciences to Host National Conference

The 39th annual National Agricultural Alumni and Development Association (NAADA) Conference will be held at Penn State. The College of Ag Sciences will host almost 150 colleagues and friends from land grant institutions across the nation.
Students, Alumni, Faculty and Staff Invited to Ag Ball 2014

Ag Ball is scheduled for Friday, April 4 starting at 6:00pm at the Ramada Inn. Tickets are $15 per person which includes a buffet dinner, awards ceremony, and casino theme activities. Delta Theta Sigma Sponsoring Golf Tournament

The First Annual Ethan J. Wolfe Memorial Golf tournament with all proceeds going to the Ethan J. Wolfe Memorial Scholarship Fund will be held on April 11 at Mountain View Country Club in Boalsburg. Registration for golfer's and sponsor's accepted until April 5. Tournament Coordinator (717) 688-0236
Internship Application Process

The College of Agricultural Sciences Alumni Society annually offers awards to undergraduate students who have participated in a credit or non-credit internship. The deadline to submit applications is September 12 by 5:00 pm. Learn about the application process and find out if you are eligible!
Excellence in Academic Advising Award Nominations

Nominations are now being accepted for the Excellence in Academic Advising Award. New this year, staff who advise students are eligible for nomination. The deadline for nominations is Monday, April 7.

Sign-up to volunteer on an Ag Alumni Society committee! Giving back to your Alma Mater can mean a variety of things to each alumni -- speaking in a class, networking with students, engaging alumni at the Ag Progress Days Alumni Pavilion or collaborating with board members to plan alumni and student events. Next committee meeting is scheduled for May 3, 2014.

Through two endowments, the Ag Alumni Society awarded 17 students with scholarships and internship awards for their academic achievement, leadership skills, and outstanding internship experiences.
Tackle Hunger Food Drive Success

The Tackle Hunger Food Drive held during the Ag Live Tailgate was a huge success. Special thank you to the Penn State Pullers for the use of their tractor. This years food donation of 500 donated items went to the Penn State Pride Pantry, a student run organization that helps students who are food insecure.
Mentoring Workshop

Seven alumni, experts in their fields, returned to campus to give of their time and talent at the Mentoring Workshop. Complimentary professional head shot photographs were offered to students participating in the workshops.

Ag Live Tailgate 2013...Another Record Breaker!

Held on November 23, Ag Live surpasses fundraising goal for the seventh consecutive year raising more than $39,000. These proceeds directly benefit the College of Agricultural Sciences Alumni Society's student scholarships, internship awards, and other student and alumni programs.

Student Clubs and Organizations Highlighted

Twenty-one student clubs and organizations showcased their groups at the Ag Live Tailgate to hundreds of Ag alumni and friends. This was a great opportunity to highlight group activities and sell fundraising items such as t-shirts, cookie mixes in a jar, holiday decorations and first aid kits for pets.
