Alumni Club Highlighted in Penn Stater Magazine

Posted: February 4, 2013

The Dairymen's Club was highlighted in the latest issue of the Penn Stater Magazine for their unique fundraising idea that currently raises between $8,000 and $10,000 annually.

Penn Stater Magazine article:

"About 12 years ago, when the Penn State Dairymen's Club was looking for ways to raise money for student scholarships, a few members who collected old bottles floated an idea--retro milk bottles with Penn State themes. The first year, sales of one bottle with the club's name raised enough money to fund a scholarship for one diary science student. Since then, the designs have become more elaborate--celebrating THON, Beaver Stadium, Joe Paterno's 4ooth victory. And the revenue has grown to between $8,000 and $10,000 annually, enough to fund scholarships for three students. This year's bottle features a sketch of the elms on the Pattee Mall. More information on the club and the milk bottles can be found on the Penn State Dairymen's Club website."
