PA Food Defense Awareness & Prevention Symposium

The Governor's Office of Homeland Security has partnered with the PA Department of Agriculture and Penn State University's College of Agricultural Sciences to host an awareness and prevention symposium on food defense for Pennsylvania's food and agriculture industry.

Subject matter experts from the Federal Bureau of Investigation, US Department of Homeland Security, Food & Drug Administration, Pennsylvania State Police, Pennsylvania Department of Agriculture and Penn State University will provide information on the current agro domestic and international terrorism threats, WMD coordination, intentional food tampering, emerging disease threats, common vulnerabilities and protective measures to protect critical infrastructure and the FDA’s perspective on food defense.


This symposium is free of charge with lunch provided.
Eligible attendees: food and agriculture industry, law enforcement, emergency services, emergency management and public health personnel
