Consideration for this scholarship shall be given to all undergraduate students enrolled or planning to enroll in the College of Agricultural Sciences at The Pennsylvania State University. First preference shall be given to students majoring in Veterinary and Biomedical Sciences in the College of Agricultural Sciences who have a demonstrated financial need. ** DOCUMENTED FINANCIAL NEED REQUIRED

Consideration for this award in the College of Agricultural Sciences, or successor academic unit, is with an intended purpose to honor and recognize outstanding undergraduate students in the Veterinary and Biomedical Sciences or the Animal Science Department who have been admitted to an accredited school of veterinary medicine and who show professional promise.

Consideration for this scholarship shall be given to undergraduate students enrolled in the College of Agricultural Sciences, or successor academic unit, who have achieved superior academic records or who manifest promise of outstanding academic success and who are majoring in any degree program offered in the Department of Veterinary and Biomedical Sciences, or successor department.

Consideration shall be given to all full-time and part-time senior students graduating from the College of Agricultural Sciences who have achieved superior academic records and have been accepted to an accredited school of veterinary medicine. Endowed in memory of Dr. Marvin A. Jaffe.

Consideration for this scholarship shall be given to all full time undergraduate students enrolled in the College of Agricultural Science at the Pennsylvania State University who are residents of Pennsylvania who have achieved superior academic records or who manifest promise of outstanding academic success and who have demonstrated financial need. First preference shall be for undergraduates interested in applying to Vet school. This award shall be made to full-time undergraduate students enrolled in the College of Agricultural Sciences who have been admitted to or now attend an accredited school of veterinary medicine. Consideration for this scholarship shall be given to all full-time and part-time undergraduate students enrolled or planning to enroll in the Department of Veterinary and Biomedical Sciences in the College of Agricultural Sciences who have achieved superior academic records or who manifest promise of outstanding academic success.

Consideration for this scholarship shall be given to all full-time undergraduate students enrolled or planning to enroll in the College of Ag Sciences who are also enrolled in the Schreyer Honor College at the Penn State University who have achieved superior academic records or who manifest promise of outstanding academic success. First preference shall be given to students majoring in Vet and Biomedical Sciences. If no students meet the first preference in any given year, funds will be awarded to students who otherwise meet the eligibility requirements, regardless of preference.

Consideration shall be given to graduate students in Pathobiology who are in the doctoral program and have passed the candidacy examination. Consideration for this scholarship shall be given to all full -time undergraduate students of sophomore or higher standing enrolled in the Animal Bio-Sciences major in the Department of Veterinary Science, College of Agricultural Sciences, who have achieved superior academic records or who manifest promise of outstanding academic success, who are interested in animal health sciences, and who have demonstrated financial need. Full-time undergraduate students of sophomore or higher standing enrolled in the Animal Bioscience major in the Department of Veterinary and Biomedical Sciences, College of Agricultural Sciences, at The Pennsylvania State University who have achieved superior academic records or manifest promise of outstanding academics success, intend to pursue careers in veterinary medicine, and have a demonstrated financial need.

Consideration for this scholarship shall be given to all undergraduate students enrolled or planning to enroll in the College of Agricultural Sciences at The Pennsylvania State University who have a demonstrated financial need. The Office of Student Aid is responsible for identifying the eligible pool of students. First preference shall be given to students from the eligibility pool who are majoring or planning to major in Animal BioScience who have a demonstrated financial need. If no students meet the first preference in a given year, funds will be awarded to any student in the College of Agricultural Sciences eligibility pool, regardless of preference. ** DOCUMENTED FINANCIAL NEED REQUIRED

Eligibility is open to all undergraduate students in the Animal Bioscience major who intend to pursue careers in veterinary medicine and have exhibited excellent scholarship records, manifest desirable traits of character, and have documented financial need. Consideration shall be given to all full-time undergraduate students enrolled in the College of Agricultural Sciences who are applying for admission to an accredited school of veterinary medicine and have exhibited outstanding scholarship and participation in University activities. Consideration for this scholarship shall be given to all full time undergraduate students majoring in Veterinary and Biomedical Sciences, or his/her designee. The Office of Student Aid, which is responsible for ensuring compliance with regulations concerning federal, state, and other aid in accordance with University policy regarding academic scholarships under University control, shall be informed of all awards.

Consideration for this scholarship shall be given to full-time undergraduate students enrolled in the College of Agricultural Sciences who are majoring in Animal Science, or successor degree program, or any degree program in the Department of Veterinary and Biomedical Sciences, or successor department, who are following a pre-veterinary program, and whose home address of residence is in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania (the "General Eligibility Criteria"). From the identified pool of eligible recipients, and to the extent possible, preference shall be given to eligible recipients in the following order: First preference shall be given to students who have been accepted into the University of Pennsylvania School of Veterinary Medicine. Second preference shall be given to students who have been accepted into an accredited school of veterinary medicine. If no students meet the stated preferences in a given year or if there are sufficient funds to award additional scholarships beyond the eligible recipients who meet the stated preferences, available funds will be awarded to any student based on the General Eligibility Criteria, regardless of preference.
