Plant Sciences

Consideration shall be given to all full-time undergraduate students enrolled or planning to enroll in the Department of Plant Science who have achieved positive academic records and have demonstrated outstanding leadership qualities through both resident education and extracurricular activities. Preference shall be given to those students who have an expressed interest in pursuing a career in pomology.

Consideration for this scholarship shall be with the intent to provide financial assistance to undergraduate students enrolled or planning to enroll in the Plant Science major with the option of Agroecology, Plant Science ,or Horticulture, or successor degree program(s), who have a demonstrated financial need to meet their necessary college expenses.

Consideration for this scholarship shall be given to all full-time undergraduate students majoring or planning to major in Plant Sciences with the Agroecology or Crop Production option, or successor degree program(s), or Environmental Resource Management with the Soil Science option, or successor degree program(s), and to graduate students majoring in Agronomy or Soil Science, or successor degree program(s). Eligible recipients shall have achieved superior academic records or manifest promise of outstanding academic success.

Consideration for this scholarship shall be given to provide financial assistance to outstanding graduate students enrolled in the Horticulture degree program, of successor degree program, and/or undergraduate students enrolled in either the Plant Sciences degree program and pursuing the Horticulture option, or successor degree program, or the Forest Ecosystem Management degree program, or successor degree program. Eligible recipients should have superior academic records.

Consideration for this scholarship shall be given to all undergraduate students who have achieved academic success or who manifest promise of professional success in their chosen fields of endeavor; who have a demonstrated financial need; and who are majoring in or planning to major in Biological Engineering, or successor degree program; BioRenewable Systems with the Agricultural systems Management option, or successor degree program; or any major offered by the Department of Plant Science, or successor department, at The Pennsylvania State University. ** DOCUMENTED FINANCIAL NEED REQUIRED

Consideration for this scholarship shall be given with the intent to provide financial assistance to all full-time undergraduate students majoring in or planning to major in a degree offered by the Department of Plant Science, or successor department, who have an interest in horticulture and who have achieved superior academic records or who manifest promise of outstanding academic success. From the identified pool of eligible recipients, and to the extent possible, first preference shall be given to students who demonstrate financial need. Endowed by Catharine S. Imbt.

The intent of this scholarship is to provide recognition and financial assistance to undergraduate students of at least sophomore standing who have achieved a minimum grade point average of 2.5 (on a scale of 4.0); who have a demonstrated financial need to meet their necessary college expenses; and who are majoring in or planning to major in a degree offered by the following academic departments, or successor departments: Department of Animal Science, Department of Plant Science, or the Department of Agricultural Economics, Sociology and Education.

Eligible students are those enrolled as full-time undergraduates in Plant Science with the Horticulture option, or successor program(s), or who have a demonstrated interest in horticulture.

Consideration for this award shall be given to all undergraduate and graduate students enrolled in the Department of Plant Science who have demonstrated exemplary academic achievement.

Consideration for this scholarship shall be given to students enrolled or planning to enroll in the College of Agricultural Sciences, or successor academic unit, at Penn State University Park. From the identified pool of eligible recipients, and to the extent possible, preference shall be given to eligible recipients in the following order: 1. First to students who are majoring in or planning to major in Plant Sciences and enrolled or planning to enroll in either Agroecology major option or the Crop Production major option, or successor degree program(s). 2. Second to students who are majoring in or planning to major in Agribusiness Management, or successor degree program.

Consideration for this scholarship shall be given to full-time undergraduate students who are currently enrolled or planning to enroll in the College of Agricultural Sciences majoring in Agroecology with an option in either Integrated Crop Management or Plant Science or enrolled or planning to enroll in the Department of Animal Science whose cumulative grade-point average is not less than the all-University grade-point average and who have a demonstrated financial need. Preference shall be given to those students who have a background or have expressed an interest in forage based agriculture. Consideration for this scholarship shall be with the intent to provide financial assistance to all full-time undergraduate students who have achieved superior academic records or who manifest promise of outstanding academic success, who are majoring in or planning to major in Plant Sciences with the Crop Production option, or successor degree program(s), or who have a demonstrated interest in crop production.

Consideration for this scholarship shall be given to full-time undergraduate students enrolled in the Department of Plant Science in the College of Agricultural Sciences who have achieved superior records or manifest promise of outstanding success. Preference shall be given to students who are studying in the area of floriculture.

This scholarship is available to all undergraduate and graduate students currently enrolled or planning to enroll in a degree program offered by the Department of Plant Science or the Department of Ecosystem Science and Management (or any successor departments) in the College of Agricultural Sciences, or who are enrolled or planning to enroll in the Environmental Resource Management major with the Soil Science option and who have demonstrated interest in Soil Science, Agronomy or Turfgrass Science.

Consideration for this scholarship shall be given to all full-time undergraduate and graduate students enrolled or planning to enroll in the Department of Plant Science in the College of Agricultural Sciences at The Pennsylvania State University who have achieved superior academic records or who manifest promise of outstanding academic success and who are studying floriculture.

Consideration for this scholarship shall be with the intent to provide financial assistance to undergraduate students pursuing a major offered by the Department of Plant Science, or successor department, who have demonstrated exemplary academic achievement. From the identified pool of eligible recipients, and to the extent possible, first preference shall be given to students who have an interest in Horticulture. If no students meet the first preference in a given year, available funds will be awarded to any student based on the general eligibility criteria, regardless of preference.

Consideration for this scholarship in the College of Agricultural Sciences is with the intent to recognize and provide financial assistance to all full-time undergraduate students who have a demonstrated financial need, who have achieved positive academic records or who manifest promise of outstanding academic success, and who are enrolled or planning to enroll in the Agroecology option and/or who have a demonstrated intrest in Agroecology. Consideration for this scholarship will be given to baccalaureate or two-year degree students in the Department of Plant Science and will be based on scholarship, character and need. One award to a member of each class: Freshman, Sophomore, Junior and Senior.
