Forest Ecosystem Management

Consideration for this award shall be given to all undergraduate students enrolled in a major in the School of Ecosystem Science and Management in the College of Agricultural Sciences at Penn State University Park who have achieved outstanding academic achievement.

Consideration shall be given to all full-time undergraduate students enrolled or planning to enroll in the Department of Ecosystem Science and Management who have achieved superior academic records or show promise of outstanding academic success. Consideration for this award shall be given to all students who are enrolled in the College of Agricultural Sciences, or successor academic unit, and majoring in Forest Ecosystem Management, or successor degree program, and who have achieved outstanding academic records. Currently, the Forest Science degree is being phased out. Until such time as the degree is no longer offered at the University, consideration for this award may include students who are majoring in Forest Science who have achieved outstanding academic records.

Scholarships shall be available to full-time students who are enrolled in the Department of Ecosystem Science and Management. Students must be full-time undergraduates enrolled in the Department of Ecosystem Science and Management who have superior academic records, show promise of outstanding academic success, and have good character and documented financial need. Consideration for this scholarship shall be given to all undergraduate students, particularly freshmen, who are enrolled or are planning to enroll in the Department of Ecosystem Science and Management who have achieved superior academic records or who manifest promise of outstanding academic success. Endowed by the Penn State Mont Alto Forestry Alumni Association and colleagues and friends of Dr. W. W. Ward.

Consideration shall be given to all full-time undergraduate students enrolled or planning to enroll in the Forest Ecosystem Management major in the Department of Ecosystem Science and Management who are extraordinary academic achievers. Consideration for this scholarship shall be given to all full-time undergraduate and graduate students majoring or planning to major in Forest Ecosystem Management in the College of Agricultural Sciences who manifest promise of outstanding academic success and have a demonstrated financial need. First preference shall be for full-time undergraduate and graduate students who have completed either a summer work assignment or full-time employment with a public or private forest resources entity or may be supported by a worker in the wood products industry. ** DOCUMENTED FINANCIAL NEED REQUIRED
