Forest Ecosystem Management

Consideration for this scholarship shall be given to provide financial assistance to outstanding graduate students enrolled in the Horticulture degree program, of successor degree program, and/or undergraduate students enrolled in either the Plant Sciences degree program and pursuing the Horticulture option, or successor degree program, or the Forest Ecosystem Management degree program, or successor degree program. Eligible recipients should have superior academic records.

Consideration for this scholarship shall be given to all full-time undergraduate students enrolled or planning to enroll in the College of Agricultural Sciences, or successor academic unit, who have achieved superior academic records or who manifest promise of outstanding academic success. First preference shall be given to students who are majoring in or planning to major in Wood Products so long as it exists. If the Wood Products major ceases to exist, then first preference shall instead be given to eligible recipients who are enrolled or planning to enroll in the BioProducts option offered by the Department of Agricultural and Biological Engineering. If no students meet the first preferences in a given year or if there are sufficient funds to award additional scholarships beyond the eligible recipients who meet the state preferences, second preference shall be given to eligible recipients who ae majoring in or planning to major in Forest Ecosystem Management, or successor degree program. If no students meet the stated preferences in a given year or it there are sufficient funds to award additional scholarships beyond the eligible recipients who meet the stated preferences, available funds will be awarded to any student based on the general eligibility criteria, regardless of preference.

Consideration for this scholarship shall be given to all full-time undergraduate students majoring in Forest Science in the College of Agricultural Sciences at Penn State University Park who have achieved superior academic records or who manifest promise of outstanding academic success.

Consideration for this scholarship shall be given to all undergraduate students enrolled or planning to enroll in the College of Agricultural Sciences at The Pennsylvania State University who have a demonstrated financial need. The Office of Student Aid is responsible for identifying the eligible pool of students. First preference shall be given to students from the eligible pool who are majoring or planning to major in Forest Ecosystem Management within the College of Agricultural Sciences who have a demonstrated financial need. If no students meet the first preference in a given year, funds will be awarded to any student in the College of Agricultural Sciences eligibility pool, regardless of preference. ** DOCUMENTED FINANCIAL NEED REQUIRED

This scholarship is available to all undergraduate and graduate students currently enrolled or planning to enroll in a degree program offered by the Department of Plant Science or the Department of Ecosystem Science and Management (or any successor departments) in the College of Agricultural Sciences, or who are enrolled or planning to enroll in the Environmental Resource Management major with the Soil Science option and who have demonstrated interest in Soil Science, Agronomy or Turfgrass Science.

This award is available to full-time undergraduate students enrolled in the Department of Ecosystem Science and Management who have completed a minimum of two years of study. Other criteria shall be academic achievement, extracurricular participation, character, and professional promise. Endowed by alumni of the school.

Consideration shall be given to all full-time undergraduate students pursuing studies in the Department of Ecosystem Science and Management. Preference will be given to students who begin their course of study at the Penn State Mont Alto campus. Recommendation from the Department of Ecosystem Science and Management Scholarship Committee to the College Committee.

Consideration shall be given to all full-time undergraduate students planning to enroll in the Department of Ecosystem Science and Management who have achieved superior academic records or show promise of outstanding academic success and have documented financial need. Preference shall be given to graduates of Tidioute Area High School. Second and third preferences will be given to those from Warren County and the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, respectively. First preference shall be given to eligible recipients who are majoring in or planning to major in Forest Ecosystem Management and whose home address of record is in Delaware county, Pennsylvania. In any given year that there are no eligible recipients, or insufficient eligible recipients, who meet first preference, then second preference shall be given to eligible recipients who are majoring in or planning to major in Forest Science and whose home address of record is in Montgomery county, Pennsylvania. third preference shall be given to eligible recipients majoring or planning to major in Forest Science and whose home address of record is in the state of Pennsylvania.

This scholarship shall be given to students enrolled in the Department of Ecosystem Science and Management who have completed at least six semesters as undergraduates or who are not holding an assistantship as graduate students.
