BioRenewable Systems

Consideration for this scholarship shall be given to all full-time undergraduate students enrolled or planning to enroll in the College of Agricultural Sciences, or successor academic unit, who have achieved superior academic records or who manifest promise of outstanding academic success. First preference shall be given to students who are majoring in or planning to major in Wood Products so long as it exists. If the Wood Products major ceases to exist, then first preference shall instead be given to eligible recipients who are enrolled or planning to enroll in the BioProducts option offered by the Department of Agricultural and Biological Engineering. If no students meet the first preferences in a given year or if there are sufficient funds to award additional scholarships beyond the eligible recipients who meet the state preferences, second preference shall be given to eligible recipients who ae majoring in or planning to major in Forest Ecosystem Management, or successor degree program. If no students meet the stated preferences in a given year or it there are sufficient funds to award additional scholarships beyond the eligible recipients who meet the stated preferences, available funds will be awarded to any student based on the general eligibility criteria, regardless of preference.

Consideration for this scholarship shall be given to all undergraduate students who have achieved academic success or who manifest promise of professional success in their chosen fields of endeavor; who have a demonstrated financial need; and who are majoring in or planning to major in Biological Engineering, or successor degree program; BioRenewable Systems with the Agricultural systems Management option, or successor degree program; or any major offered by the Department of Plant Science, or successor department, at The Pennsylvania State University. ** DOCUMENTED FINANCIAL NEED REQUIRED

Consideration for this award shall be given to all undergraduate students enrolled in the College of Agricultural Sciences, or successor academic unit, who are majoring in BioRenewable Systems in the Agricultural Systems Management option, or successor degree program, who exhibit high academic achievement. If there are no eligible recipients who are majoring in BioRewable Systems in the Agricultural Systems Management option, or successor degree program, then consideration for this award shall be given to all students enrolled in the Department of Agricultural and Biological Engineering, or successor department.

Consideration for this scholarship shall be given to all undergraduate students enrolled in the College of Agricultural sciences, or successor academic unit, who are majoring or planning to major in Biological Engineering or majoring in or planning to major in BioRenewable Systems, or successor degree programs, who have achieved superior academic records or who manifest promise of outstanding academic success, who demonstrate leadership qualities through active participation in the Penn State branch of the American Society of Agricultural and Biological Engineers or the Penn State Agricultural Systems Management Club, or successor organizations, and, to the extent permitted by law, are citizens of the United States. First preference shall be given to students who express an interest in teaching or research. If no students meet the first preference in a given year or if there are sufficient funds to award additional scholarships beyond the eligible recipients who meet the first preference, available funds will be awarded to any student based on the general eligibility criteria, regardless of preference.

Consideration for this award shall be given to honor and recognize outstanding academic achievement by at least a fifth semester standing undergraduate student who is majoring in BioRenewable Systems, or successor degree program, and who is pursuing the Agricultural Systems Management Option, or successor option, in the College of Agricultural Sciences, or successor academic unit, at the University. Awards shall be dependent upon the annual contribution and in no case shall the value of the funds expended exceed the funds available for this purpose. Awards may be provided to eligible recipients regardless of enrollment status, so long as the recipients are in good academic standing and intend to continue their education in the College of Agricultural Sciences, or successor academic unit, at the University. Each award shall be for one academic year. Further extraordinary accomplishments by a recipient may enable that recipient to be again considered for this award. It is the Donors' preference that an award of $500 each be made to two students per year.

Consideration for this scholarship shall be given to all full-time undergraduate students enrolled or planning to enroll in the Wood Products major, or successor degree program. From the identified pool of eligible recipients, and to the extent possible, first preference shall be given to students whose home address of residence is in the state of Pennsylvania. If no students meet the first preference in a given year or if there are sufficient funds to award additional scholarships beyond the eligible recipients who meet the firest preference, available funds will be awarded be awarded to any student based on the general eligibility criteria, regardless of preference. In the event the Wood Products major whould cease to exist, the Donors request that this scholarship is first available to students enrolled in the BioProducts option of the BioRenewable Systems major, or successor degree program.

First preference shall be given to students enrolled in the BioProducts option, or successor degree program.
