Kim L. Masser Memorial Scholarship for the College of Agricultural Sciences

Consideration for this scholarship shall be given to full time undergraduate students enrolled or planning to enroll at the University who have achieved a minimum 2.3 grade point average (on a 4.0 scale) and who are majoring or planning to major in Biological Engineering or who are minoring in Biological Engineering, Agricultural Systems Management, and/or Off-Road Equipment, or successor degree programs (the "General Eligibility Criteria"). To the extent permitted by law, eligible recipients shall be United States citizens. From the identified pool of eligible recipients, and to the extent possible, first preference shall be given to students who graduated from the Tri-Valley Area High School in Schuylkill County, PA or successor high school. Second preference shall be given to students who graduated from Line Mountain High School in Herndon, PA or the Upper Dauphin High School in Elizabethville, PA or successor high schools. Third preference shall be given to students whose home address of residence is in Schuylkill County, PA. Fourth preference shall be given to students who graduated from a Pennsylvania high school. If no students meet the stated preferences in a given year or if there are sufficient funds to award additional scholarships beyond the eligible recipients who meet the stated preferences, available funds will be awarded to any student based on the General Eligibility Criteria, regardless of preference. Moreover, if no students meet the General Eligibility Criteria in any given year or if there are sufficient funds to award additional scholarships beyond the eligible recipients, available funds may be awarded to deserving full-time undergraduate students enrolled or planning to enroll in the College of Agricultural Sciences who have achieved a minimum 2.3 grade point average (on a 4.0 scale). Students selected for the Kim L. Masser Memorial Scholarship shall be given the opportunity, but shall not be required, to apply for a potential co-operative experience or internship with Sterman Masser, Inc., and will receive first preference.
