Volunteers are needed to assist with the 2017 chestnut seed planting.
On February 9th and 10th from 9 am to 4 pm volunteers are needed to assist with 2017 chestnut seed planting in the greenhouse at the Forest Resource Lab, located at the corner of University Drive and Hastings Road.
Activities include: filling pots, planting nuts, watering, and labeling seed lots. The resulting seedlings will be planted in the Arboretum at Penn State chestnut research orchards to further development of blight resistant American chestnut hybrids.
