Students enrolled in Plant Science, Agroecology/Agronomy, Soil Science, ERM, Horticulture, Ag Science, Entomology, Plant Pathology, and Ag Business are invited to attend a Student/Industry Career Workshop.

The workshop is an excellent opportunity for you to meet and listen to key company personnel as they describe their day-to-day activities and give their perspective on future employment in their particular professions. Also, the speakers will discuss available internships and full-time employment opportunities. They will also give you their perspective on what they look for in potential employees and other useful information. For those of you still undecided about your plans after college, the workshop can be very helpful in learning about various career opportunities. There will be plenty of time for questions. Speakers will be from agrochemical companies and dealerships, seed companies and others, and will describe various aspects of crop and soil management professions. Speakers include: Kaycee Browell, Pioneer; Jeremiah Zimmerman, Seedway; Jim Sebulsky, Helena Chemical; Chris Houser, Penn State Extension and others.

You are also invited to attend any or all of the educational sessions of the conference and learn about the latest information in field crop production beginning at 8:00 a.m. on Thursday, January 19th and continuing through Friday, January 20th at the Penn Stater Conference Center and Hotel. There is no registration fee for students attending the conference.
