Interested in integrated weed management, cover crops, cropping systems, or nutrient management research?

Looking for reliable, detail-oriented people who are interested in the role of Penn State research and extension-education in Pennsylvania agriculture. Assistant will work with faculty, staff and graduate students to complete all stages of field research projects. Additionally opportunities for internship credit, development of undergraduate research projects, and the potential for continued part-time employment for the fall 2017 semester. Focus of research projects include:

  • Multi-disciplinary research in reduced-tillage organic grain systems
  • Interseeding cover crops in no-till production systems
  • Weed seed ecology
  • Evaluation of new herbicide technologies
  • Integrated weed contrail tactics for herbicide resistant weeds
