This is an opportunity to travel and experience school-based Agriculture Education on a whole new level. We want you to join Teach Ag! Society for the 4th annual Domestic Study Away. Our 2016 Destination State is: Tennessee. The professional development focus topic is: “STEM Integration in Agricultural Education Settings: Comparing Urban to Rural Programs”. We will be engaging in programs throughout Tennessee including Nashville!

The link to apply is: http://goo.gl/forms/3fxsOfX8nA. Deadline for applications is Monday, March 21st. We will notify all applicants of the admission decision as soon possible, but no later than Friday, March 25th.

Here's a few important things to know about this year's Domestic Study Away:

• When? May 9th -16th (subject to some “shifting” by 1 or 2 days either way dependent upon flight availability)

• How Much? The cost of this experience is expected to be $1000. You will be required to pay a non-refundable deposit of $500 by Monday, March 31st. The second payment of $500 would be due on Monday, May 2nd.

We are working to secure grants from a variety of sources (and welcome suggestions!). If we are successful, we hope to not require the second payment.

If the cost will hinder your ability to participate in the trip, please talk to Nate Repetz, njr52030@psu.edu or Dr. Foster, foster@psu.edu. Finances alone should not prevent you from participating in this transformational experience.

Still not sure if you want to join TeachAg! Society this year? Check out the previous Domestic Study Away experiences below. Please contact Nate Repetz (call or text to 717-756-2898; email njr52030@psu.edu) or Dr. Foster (foster@psu.edu) if you have any questions. Come along with TeachAg! Society for an incredible, eye-opening, unique experience! You won't regret it!
