The Rock Ethics Institute at Penn State is seeking nominations for its 2014 Stand Up Awards honoring undergraduate students at Penn State's campuses who have demonstrated ethical leadership in taking a stand for a person, cause, or belief. Kalu Yala Independent Study Abroad and Entrepreneurial Internships

Kalu Yala is a sustainable community being built in the mountains about 45 minutes outside Panama City, Panama. The internships are an 11-week skill-share and development, trial-and-error laboratory for students in a variety of fields. The program allows young professionals to come to Panama and gain cultural exposure, work experience, and knowledge while creating a project that will ultimately help shape a sustainable community.
