Ag Sc Change of Campus Mentoring Program First Meeting

Posted: February 5, 2014

Spring semester was kicked off by the Ag Sc Change of Campus Program.

Spring semester was kicked off by the Ag Sc Change of Campus Program.  Students from across the Penn State campus system met for dinner and discussion to prepare for the beginning of the semester.  To support campus student transition to University Park campus, a special mentoring program has been created in 2013, the Agricultural Sciences Change of Campus Mentoring Program (ASCCMP).  ASCCMP matches transitioning students with trained student mentors, but also, provides programing to help the transitioning students get the resources to be successful at University Park Campus. The program mentors supported the first meeting of the program with 44 of 46 transitional students in attendance.  The program continues with many activities including attending the university involvement fair and weekly workshops on touring the library, test taking and creating good study habits, and career and resume building.
