Fall semester is truly a special time of the year at Penn State.  The new academic year provides the opportunity to meet new friends as well as reconnect with friends, faculty, and staff from previous years.

As you plan for success this year, strive to maintain a healthy balance in your life.  Time management will become increasingly important as you incorporate classes, co-curricular activities, and social time into your days.  Balancing your time in and out of class will no doubt result in a rewarding and successful semester!

There are many resources available to help you navigate your undergraduate experience.  Plan to meet with your adviser to discuss your academic plans, goals, and schedules.  You might also want to discuss opportunities for study abroad, research, and internships.  Each of these activities takes planning and it’s never too early to start.

You also have resources at University Park.  Advisers in your intended major are happy to consult with you or answer your questions about possibilities in their areas of expertise.  Debbie Little, Coordinator for Campus Enrollment and Retention, is also available to you for referrals or questions about transition to University Park and administrative matters.

This is a time of endless possibilities for you – academically, professionally, and personally.  Take advantage of all that your campus and Penn State Ag Sciences have to offer, and don’t hesitate to let us know how we can help.

All the best for a wonderful academic year!
