The purpose of the Penn State Fly Fishing Club is to provide all members of the University community with the opportunity to further their knowledge and enjoyment of the sport of fly fishing. Eligibility for membership in the club includes currently registered Penn State students as well as currently employed faculty and staff.

We meet every Thursday evening from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. in 504 Agricultural Sciences and Industries (ASI) Building during both fall and spring semesters. There are more than 80 members in the club. Average attendance at our weekly meetings ranges from 15 to 25 people. At these meetings we tie flies (trout, warm water, steelhead, and saltwater), have guest speakers on various aspects of fly fishing, take fly fishing trips, and have an annual end of the spring semester club member picnic along Spring Creek.

The Penn State Fly Fishing Club offers a great opportunity for Penn State students to develop an avocational interest that will be a source of stress relief from their future jobs. If you have an interest in learning more about the wonderful sport of fly fishing at all levels, this club is for you. Subscribe to the club's list serve by sending an e-mail to L-PSUFlyFishingClub-subscribe-request@lists.psu.edu.
