CAS Professor awarded fellowship to support research and teaching in Japan

Congratulations to Dr. Marc Abrams, of the Department of Ecosystem Science and Management on being awarded a fellowship by the Japan Society for the Promotion of Science.

Dr. Marc Abrams, Professor of Forest Ecology and Physiology,  has been awarded a 2 month fellowship by the Japan Society for the Promotion of Science (JSPS). This program, funded in part by the Japanese government enables researchers in Japan to invite researchers from other countries to participate in “cooperative work and other academic activities.”   This is the second time Dr. Abrams has been a recipient of a JSPS fellowship. He was also awarded one in 1997.
