Research Centers

The center is a focal point for cross-disciplinary research and outreach on air and water quality, soil conservation, invasive species, climate change and other environmental issues of consequence to agriculture.

In 2005, Penn State researchers and facilities united as a center of excellence to promote collaborative research and graduate education in chemical and molecular ecology.

The Center for Pollinator Research at Penn State is committed to developing and implementing integrative, multidisciplinary approaches to improving pollinator health, conservation, and management for ecosystems services through research, education, outreach and policy.

ENRI's mission is to improve understanding and management of living systems, landscapes, and human-environment interactions with the objective of sustaining and enhancing ecosystem services and human-well being.

At The Schatz Center, state-of-the-art research is conducted in forest genetics, genomics, and related areas. The Center provides training opportunities for undergraduate students, post-doctoral fellows, and visiting scientists. The Center also sponsors a colloquium, held biennially at Penn State's Mont Alto campus, which brings together researchers and practitioners from industry, government, and academia to discuss the science of current issues in tree genetics.
