Silent Auction

The Penn State Pasto Agricultural Museum will hold a Silent Auction at the 2016 Ag Progress Days on Tuesday and Wednesday, August 16th and 17th.

Funds raised in Silent Auction help us complete exhibits and offer programming that connects our agricultural past to the present day. 2015 Silent Auction funds helped to purchase large graphic images that are featured in our new museum exhibits. And a Bussing Fund now helps to underwrite transportation costs for school educational field trips.

This year's auction is earmarked to help implement interactive exhibits and graphics, including the purchase a full size model milking cow. Catch a glimpse of her as she gets packed up and travels to APD, at https://www.facebook.com/PastoAgMuseum/

We would like you to participate in this year’s Silent Auction! You or your organization will receive public recognition as a donor. All donors who contribute by the deadline will be listed on our website and on a large sign prominently displayed at the auction site, visible to thousands of Ag Progress Days visitors.

Get your donation form in as soon as possible, so we can acknowledge your gift as we promote the event. Donations are accepted thru the Monday prior to Ag Progress Days. Early confirmation of your donation will assure more promotion and greater success for the auction.

Help us reach our goal of raising at least $6000 with at least 200 items valued at $50 or more with your individual contribution, or $100 for commercial donors. Help us showcase the auction with that special item that catches everyone’s attention! A large cash and carry section will allow Tuesday attendees to purchase items without needing to return Wednesday.

How the auction works:

  • Deliver items to the Pasto Agricultural Museum on Monday prior to Ag Progress Days between 10am and 4pm. The museum is located at 2710 West Pine Grove Road, Pennsylvania Furnace 16865, Gate K
  • Bid on items at the museum on Tuesday and Wednesday of Ag Progress Days. Bidding closes promptly at 3:00 pm Wednesday
  • Successful bidders pick up items after payment is processed Wednesday from 4pm to 8pm (Additional 15% handling fee charged for items not picked up, $15 minimum; shipping fee may apply)
  • Note that credit cards (Visa, MasterCard), cash and Pennsylvania checks will be accepted.

Thank you for your support!
