College staff and faculty volunteer for Day of Caring
On October 2, 2009, a team of college faculty and staff participated in the 16th annual PNC Bank United Way Day of Caring by painting the interior of the Center County Office of Aging in Bellefonte.
2009 Day of Caring Team
Volunteers from across Centre County spent the day helping local agencies and historical sites, parks and municipal properties and families of deployed military personnel. Day of Caring chairman, Colonel Gerald Russell, USMC (retired) was on hand to kick-off the event, and honorary chairwoman, Sue Paterno, provided her support as well.
College of Ag Sciences volunteers this year included Nüket Acar, Randall Bock, Justin Dillon, Daney Jackson, Darlene Jury, Richard Kipp, David Love, Andrea Lund, Jim Porterfield, Peggy Shuffstall, Linda Spangler, Pat Topper, Charles Walker, and Peter Warren.
