Photo Gallery: Wildlife Conservation Officer David L. Grove Scholarship plaque dedication

On Thursday, Oct. 25, a memorial plaque in honor of slain Wildlife Conservation Officer David L. Grove was presented to the University during a ceremony at the Forest Resources Building.

The presentation highlighted an annual scholarship that was established at Penn State in honor of Officer Grove, who was killed in the line of duty on Nov. 11, 2010. Grove graduated from Penn State in 2004 with a bachelor's degree in Wildlife and Fisheries Science. To learn more about Grove and the scholarship, read the story on Penn State Live.

Offering remarks at the ceremony were: Colleen Shannon, Game Commission land management officer, on behalf of the Conservation Officers of Pennsylvania: Ellen Manno, representing Penn State's Department of Ecosystem Science and Management; Kris Krebs, Fraternal Order of Police; Carl Roe, executive director of the Game Commission; and Dana and Lucy Grove, parents.
