Security News: Cross Site Scripting (XSS) Explained

Malware can gain a toehold in your computer in a number of ways. One such toehold is through Cross Site Scripting or XSS (where 'X' stands for the word Cross).
The article from Daniel Miessle, who writes about information security, gives a basic overview of XSS.

I'd also like to stress that Summary points 1 and 2 explain how visiting "good" sites can put your computer at risk from malware. If these "good" sites have been hacked, bad links can be reflected back to you!
