Update a Friend of Penn State (FPS) Password

The Friends of Penn State (FPS) service provides you with a digital identity so that you can access a variety of Web-based resources and services at Penn State.

County paid employees, short term wage payroll employees, as well as summer assistants and interns may need to request a Friends of Penn State (FPS) account before an AG account is created for them. We ask you to do this in order to create a unique Penn State UserID for your use.

With a FPS digital identity, you are able to access a variety of Web-based resources and services at Penn State. See the complete list on the Friends of Penn State page. FPS accounts have access to Adobe Connect meeting rooms and the Penn State software download page at http://downloads.its.psu.edu/.

Both Penn State and the College require that you update your Access Account and AG passwords at least once a year. For security reasons, it is recommended that you change these passwords every 6 months.

In the case of Friends of Penn State (FPS) passwords, they are set to never expire.

Even though you are not required to update the FPS password, it is still recommended that you update your FPS password at the same time you update your AG password. (Note: If you have an FPS account you will not have a PSU Access Account.)
