This How To will give you steps to to lock your computer. No, we don’t mean with a physical key but with your password.
A few other reasons to lock your computer would be to protect access to your Financial Records, access to ESSIC, or your online banking account.
When should you lock your computer? - before you leave for your lunch - before you leave for a meeting - before you leave for the day (if you don't normally turn off your computer).
So remember these few steps to secure your computer and your data the next time you leave your computer unattended.
Lock your Computer
- You have two options to lock the machine
- Press Windows + L
- Press Ctrl + Alt + Delete and then click the Lock Computer button
- You will see a Computer Locked dialog box. You can now leave the machine
Unlock your Computer
- Press Ctrl + Alt + Delete
- Enter your AG password (Note: Remember, your passwords are NOT to be shared)
