Configure Your iPhone or iPad to use Ag Exchange Mail

Apple iPhone and iPad owners have the ability to quickly and easily configure your iPhone or iPad to access your e-mail, calendar and contacts on the College of Ag Science’s Exchange server. These steps are based upon iOS version 10.x, but can be used as a general guide of other versions of the software as well.

How To Configure Your iPhone or iPad

  1. From the Home screen, tap Settings.
  2. Tap Mail
  3. Tap Accounts
  4. Tap Add Account
  5. Tap Exchange.
  6. In the E-mail section enter your address in the format of
  7. Enter your Ag password in the password field
  8. Leave the description as Exchange
  9. Click Next at the top of the window
  10. Enter the Server address:
  11. In the Domain field enter  ag
  12. In the username section enter your user ID as abc123
  13. The password field should be filled in for you
  14. In the Description field name leave it as Exchange, or give it another name of your choosing (if you view more than one e-mail account this will allow you to differentiate among them)
  15. Tap Next.
  16. By Default, Mail is ON. If you want to also sync your Exchange calendar or your Exchange Contacts, tap to turn those options on.
    ***Note: Adding your Exchange Calendar or Contacts will cause existing calendars and/or Contacts to be deleted.
  17. Tap Save.
  18. Read mail!

By default the iPhone will sync 3 days of email.  You can adjust this by going to Settings, then Mail, Contacts, Calendars, then tap your Exchange account, tap Mail Days to Sync and make your selection from the options provided. On the iPad, you have 5 options: 25 recent messages, 50 recent messages, 75 recent messages, 100 recent messages, or 200 recent messages. You can find this by going to Settings, then Mail, Contacts, Calendars, tap Show
