Africa2Ag week 2012

This year's Africa2Ag week will be held at the University Park campus, August 27-31, 2012, during the first week of the Fall semester. Africa2Ag week events - August 27-31, 2012

Africa2Ag week 2012 will host events on Penn State’s University Park campus from Monday, August 27 through Friday, August 31. 

All events are free of charge and open to all. Only the Africa Collaboration Colloquium event and the Wednesday afternoon youth and African agriculture symposium require registration.


Monday, August 27

Africa2Ag week launch event

Location: Mann Assembly Room, Paterno Library

Time: 3.30-5pm

Welcoming remarks @ 4pm: Rob Crane (invited), Director of the Alliance for Education, Science, Engineering and Development in Africa (AESEDA), PSU

 

Tuesday, August 28 

Africa Collaboration Colloquium

Location: Nittany Lion Inn, Ballroom

Study abroad in Africa: connecting Penn State and African youth

Time: 4.45-6:45pm

Speakers: Students from Africa-based study-abroad programs, including CYEC-Kenya, Parks and People Tanzania, CAS Mozambique-South Africa

 

Friday, August 31

Special Departmental Seminar: Strengthening young peoples’ skills and opportunities for social transformation through civic engagement in sub-Saharan Africa
