25-YEAR SERVICE AWARD PROGRAM

POLICY'S INITIAL DATE: October 01, 1963
THIS VERSION EFFECTIVE: July 1, 2016

PURPOSE:

To recognize faculty and staff members who have given long service to the University.

THE AWARD:

The award shall be an official Penn State captain's chair, rocking chair or mantel clock. The employee shall also receive a personalized certificate commemorating the milestone.

ELIGIBILITY FOR THE AWARD:

All members of the faculty and staff who complete 25 years of full-time University employment are eligible.

Time spent on an approved University leave of absence, whether paid or unpaid, shall be considered active employment for the purposes of the award.

AWARD PROGRAM OVERSIGHT:

The Office of Human Resources is responsible for oversight of the award program and maintains a list of employees eligible to receive the award.
