Graduate Students Receive Grants from SARE

Congratulations to Katherine Ellis, Leslie Pillen, Ariel Rivers, and Kathleen Wood on being awarded grants from The Northeast Region Sustainable Agricultural Research and Education Program.

This summer, the Northeast Region Sustainable Agricultural Research and Education (SARE) Program awarded 20 graduate student support grants totaling $280,000. The SARE grants are meant to support researchers working on issues in sustainable agriculture. Of the 20 grants awarded, 4 went to graduate students in the College of Agricultural Sciences. The recipients were Katherine Ellis and Ariel Rivers, advised by Dr. Mary Barbercheck, Leslie Pillen, advised by Dr. Clare Hinrichs, and Kathleen Wood, advised by Dr. Carolyn Sachs.
