Planter Box Build

Students in HORT 368 and 464 build planter boxes for use in the student-run farm.

HORT 368, Landscape Planting Design, teaches basic planting design employing the use of indigenous and ornamental plants as design elements in the man-made environment. This class is intended for Landscape Contracting majors only. HORT 464, Landscape Construction I, covers standards, processes, and computations for site grading, drainage, earthwork, vehicular circulation, parking; detailing, and finishing of landscape construction materials. This class could be helpful to students who want to pursue a major in Landscape Contracting, the Horticulture option of the Plant Sciences major, or for graduate students in Horticulture.
